Riso Art Jam features a unique blend of exhibition, bazaar, forum, and fun. The exhibition features more than 100 original works of Riso art from 39 artists from Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Germany, Slovakia, France, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
An equally varied group of 34 artists and brands from some of the aforementioned countries will join the bazaar, offering Riso art prints and merchandise for new and established collectors. Audiences can experience both the exhibition and bazaar at The Whiteaways Arcade heritage building along Lebuh Pantai. Admission is free to the public with plenty of Riso art on display and up for grabs.
The Festival also features a two-day forum which will be taking place at W Life Café, with six up-and- coming Riso artists and Riso studios from Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and Singapore. The forum is expected to draw attendees who are students, artists, and enthusiasts alike. The tickets to the forum are priced at RM60 (one-day pass) and RM100 (two-day pass).
The public can experience the Risograph printing technique during the bazaar (29-30 July), as there will be a demonstration on using the Riso machine. We invite everyone to take a photo of their time there to post on Facebook or Instagram, tagging @RisoArtJam using the hashtag #risoartjam so that their photo can be featured on the Riso Art Jam’s social media accounts as a show of support to the Riso art community.
